American Airlines flight assault: FBI arrests Texas man after violent incident on flight from Kansas to Washington, D.C.

What Happened on the Flight?

According to reports, the suspect, Asterius Rulamka, became disruptive as the flight was preparing to land. Witnesses say he:

  • Threatened a flight attendant, prompting passengers to start filming.
  • Attacked a fellow passenger, grabbing his arms, removing his hat and glasses, and striking him in the face—causing a bloodshot eye and bruising.
  • Attempted to hit the flight attendant but missed, instead causing a finger laceration and broken fingernail.

FBI Investigation and Charges

After the flight landed, law enforcement responded to the scene. During an FBI interview, Rulamka allegedly requested to speak with President Donald Trump. He has been charged with assault by beating, striking, and wounding and is due in court on Thursday.

“We do not tolerate violence and thank our team members for their professionalism.”

The FBI has not made any more remarks because the investigation is still ongoing.
