Hunter Biden Secret Service

President Donald Trump has officially revoked Secret Service protection for Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden, citing taxpayer concerns. The decision, announced on Truth Social, comes after Trump criticized the number of agents assigned to Hunter Biden’s security detail during his visit to South Africa.

Trump’s Justification

Trump claimed that 18 Secret Service agents were assigned to Hunter Biden, while Ashley Biden had a detail of 13 agents. In his post, Trump called the expense “ridiculous” and announced that the protection would end immediately.

“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer,” Trump wrote. “Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection.”

Biden Family Response

As of now, there has been no official comment from the Biden family. The Secret Service confirmed that they will comply with the decision, stating they are “actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible.”

Understanding Secret Service Protection

Under U.S. law, former presidents and their spouses receive lifetime protection, but adult children typically lose protection once the presidency ends. However, outgoing presidents may extend the security for up to six months, a provision both Trump and Biden used for their families.

Ashley Biden is who?

Ashley Biden is an activist and social worker. She is the daughter of Joe and Jill Biden. She established the fashion line Livelihood, which emphasizes community development and social justice. Ashley has mostly stayed out of the political spotlight, while Hunter Biden has continued to be visible.

What’s Next?

Without federal protection, both Hunter and Ashley Biden will need to make private security arrangements. Trump’s decision has already sparked political debate, with critics calling it a targeted move and supporters praising the effort to reduce taxpayer spending.
